What's Happening on the Website?

(July 31, 2012)

By Nic

Just a quick update on the website.  You may have noticed a few changes.  The blog is now for members only.  I will try to put up interesting stuff for members once rehearsals get underway.  This is likely to take a different tone from the previous blog, since it is now not on public view.  My idea is to comment in a light hearted way, to serve as a bit of a reminder of what we did as well, but to have some fun with it too.

Comments from members will be very welcome, so if you have something to ask or a comment to make, then feel free.  To do this you'll need a username and password.  Just e-mail me at nickabbott@kmtc.org.uk to get set up.

To replace the bit that the public cannot now see I intend to develop the "New and Reviews" section a bit more.  This will be a lot of the stuff that we used to put up on the blog.  I will gradually transfer some of the old blog articles over to the news page as well.

For this reason the news articles summary is now on the top of the left column of the home page.  However, the blog entries still get a mention on the home page; now this is on the right column below the tweeter feed.  This means that the public can see a summary of the blog posts, but not the details or the comments.

Since the public have lost their chance to comment on our excellant website (and we often back feedback about our shows and stuff in e-mail too) I will try to set up a guestbook for them to leave general comments.
